A newly established Ship Management Company based in the Southern Suburbs is seeking a highly organized and detailed-oriented Purchasing Officer to join our team to support our procurement and supply operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and Procurement of marine spare parts and technical supplies.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with local and international vendors.
- Review and verify vendor invoices against purchase orders and delivery receipts.
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels and optimize procurement cycles to minimize costs.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Technical/Engineering Background University, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Experience: 2+ years of procurement experience, specifically within the shipping/maritime industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in maritime procurement software.
- Languages: Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Soft Skills: Strong negotiation and communication
