Marine Operations / Port Captain

Seamar Management S.A., a subsidiary of Pangaea Logistics Solutions (NASDAQ: PANL), is a growing Athens-based ship management company operating an expanding fleet of dry-bulk carriers. We are looking for an experienced Marine Operator/ Port Captain to join our shore-based team in Athens - a hands-on role at the heart of fleet operations, vessel attendance, and voyage oversight. The role includes developing and implementing operational procedures for port calls, cargo oversight, safety compliance, and acting as the primary liaison between the vessel and shore management.

Requirements

• Master Mariner certificate (STCW II/2 Class A or B) with seagoing experience in command
• Previous experience ashore as a Marine Operator, Marine Superintendent
• Solid background in dry-bulk carrier operations, including cargo holds, draft surveys, voyage planning, and vessel vetting and inspections (RightShip, PSC, flag state)
• Strong knowledge of ISM Code, SOLAS, MARPOL, and P&I/insurance matters
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
• Fluent English, written and spoken
• Proficiency in MS Office and fleet management/reporting systems
