We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Technical director / Fleet Manager to join our Technical Department.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the technical management and operational performance
- Monitor vessel maintenance, repairs, drydockings, and technical projects.
- Ensure compliance with Class, Flag State, statutory, and company requirements.
- Prepare and manage technical budgets, cost control, and procurement activities.
- Monitor vessel performance, fuel efficiency, and technical KPIs.
- Support inspections, audits, and vetting preparations.
- Evaluate technical risks and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Requirements
- Degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related engineering discipline.
- Previous sailing experience as Chief Engineer
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience managing tanker and dry vessels
- Strong knowledge of drydock planning, vessel budgeting, maintenance systems, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with Danaos, PMS systems, and vessel performance monitoring tools will be considered an advantage.
