Post-Fixing Handler (Dry Bulk) – Athens, Greece

Costamare Shipping Company S.A. is seeking an experienced Post-Fixing Handler to join its Dry Bulk team in Athens.

This role is intended to strengthen the Dry Bulk post-fixture function, with particular focus on laytime, demurrage/despatch, off-hire and performance claims, voyage file control, and the consistent follow-up of commercial matters across the fleet.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing post-fixture operations for a fleet of dry bulk vessels, ensuring accurate handling of commercial and operational matters, and contributing to a standardised and efficient workflow across the department.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage post-fixture activities for assigned vessels
• Prepare and review laytime calculations, demurrage and despatch claims
• Handle performance and off-hire claims, including dispute follow-up
• Monitor P&L performance and support financial follow-up for managerial review
• Maintain structured documentation and effective system utilisation
• Contribute to improving processes and operational consistency across the team

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in post-fixing
• Strong understanding of Time Charter & Voyage Charter operations
• Proven experience with laytime, claims, and off-hire matters
• Organised, detail-oriented, and methodical approach to work
• Comfortable working across multiple locations, time zones and cultures.
