Operations Manager

Lavinia Tankers, a Lavinia Corp./Laskaridis Shipping Co. Ltd. affiliate company based in the Northern suburbs of Athens that manages a modern tanker fleet, is seeking an experienced Operations Manager with a seagoing experience, to join its Operations Department.

The successful candidate will have solid experience in tanker operations, strong coordination skills, and the ability to liaise effectively with vessels, charterers, agents, terminals, brokers, and internal departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Daily monitoring and operational support of the company’s tanker fleet
• Coordination of voyages, including loading/discharging operations, bunkering, port calls, and related matters
• Liaising with Masters, Charterers, Brokers, Agents, Terminals, and other stakeholders
• Ensuring compliance with charter party requirements, company procedures, industry standards, and applicable regulations
• Monitoring vessel performance and addressing operational issues promptly
• Coordinating with Technical, Marine/HSQE, Crewing, and Accounting Departments
• Supporting SIRE/CDI inspections, PSC matters, and vetting requirements
• Preparing operational reports for Management and Owners
• Contributing to the improvement of operational procedures and efficient fleet utilization

Requirements:

• Minimum 7 years’ experience in a similar role within a tanker management company
• Strong knowledge of tanker operations, voyage execution, port and STS operations, and charter party terms
• Experience with MR / Product / Chemical or Crude Tankers will be considered an advantage
• Master experience will be considered an advantage
• Good understanding of SIRE 2.0, vetting requirements, OCIMF standards, and oil major expectations
• Excellent command of written and spoken English
• Ability to work under pressure and make timely decisions
• Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills
