Senior Shipping Accountant

Ciner Ship Management Limited is seeking a Senior Shipping Accountant to join its team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage revenue by recording, reconciling, and preparing monthly reports
• Handle overseas voyage accounting, which includes making estimates and calculating demurrage fees
• Review and monitor disbursement account (DA)
• Perform and control bank reconciliations
• Perform accounting control reviews and checklist-based monitoring of various accounting processes to ensure compliance with internal procedures
• Check balance sheet reconciliations and follow up on any open items
• Identify discrepancies and unresolved accounting issues, and escalate them if needed
• Oversee cost control for overseas operations and find ways to improve.
• Help prepare financial reports and work with finance teams, auditors, and banks.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax laws.
• Report to the Head of Accounting and maintain high standards of accuracy and control

Requirements:

• A university degree in accounting, finance, or economics, or a relevant professional certification

• At least 10 years of experience in an office environment
• Strong skills in leadership, organization, communication, and time management
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong leadership and problem-solving abilities
• Capacity to multitask and collaborate effectively within a team
• Proficiency in ERP systems (such as Danaos), MS Office, Adobe applications, and other industry-specific software
• Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken
