Shipping company based in the southern suburbs is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Superintendent to join our Technical Management team.
Responsibilities
The role includes overseeing the day-to-day technical operations of assigned vessels and ensuring compliance with company policies, class rules, and statutory regulations. Key duties involve monitoring vessel performance, planning and supervising dry dockings and major repairs, managing technical budgets, conducting vessel inspections, and preparing technical reports. The superintendent will also support ISM/ISPS implementation and contribute to the continuous improvement of vessel reliability and efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience
Candidates should have seagoing experience as Chief Engineer as well as similar experience in the office. Strong knowledge of marine systems, dry-docking and repair procedures, and PSC preparation are essential.
