Jobistas is seeking on behalf of its client, a Motion Graphics Designer. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a creative team dedicated to producing high-quality video content for its YouTube channel and third party clients.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and animating polished, dynamic, and informative motion graphics that enhance visual storytelling. This includes developing visual elements that clarify complex ideas, elevate the narrative, and engage viewers through compelling animation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and animate motion graphics, explainer sequences, kinetic typography, infographics, maps, and visual transitions for YouTube videos (i.e. Vox, The School of Life, Minute Physics, Economics Explained)
  • Collaborate with the creative team to understand the narrative and determine the best visual treatment for each script.
  • Translate abstract ideas, data, and historical or political topics into clear and engaging animations.
  • Maintain visual consistency across episodes and ensure brand style guidelines are followed.
  • Stay up to date on motion design trends and the evolving aesthetics of digital content.
  • Participate in team feedback rounds and implement revisions efficiently.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in motion design, preferably for digital media, news, or YouTube content
  • Proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop and Premiere Pro
  • Portfolio showcasing 2D animation, explainer graphics, and storytelling through motion
  • A keen eye for layout, typography, color and timing
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines without compromising quality
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative attitude
  • (Bonus) Experience with sound design, 3D animation or video editing
