Fashion Buyer

Job description

• Selecting products and negotiating prices
• Ensuring goods arrive on time
• Presenting new ideas to senior management teams
• Liaising with other departments within the organization to ensure projects are completed
• Writing reports
• Helping to interpret sales forecasts
• Analyzing consumer buying patterns and predicting future trends
• Managing plans for stock levels
• Reacting to changes in demand and logistics
• Seeking merchandise feedback from customers
• Meeting suppliers and negotiating terms of contract
• Maintaining relationships with existing suppliers and sourcing new suppliers for future products

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor Degree required(in fashion design, fashion textiles or business/management)
• Minimum of 3 years working experience in buying and range planning preferably in apparel or fashion retail brand
• Superior knowledge of the English and Greek language, written and oral
• PC literate
• Strong analytical and numerical skills to work out budgets and understand sales figures
• The ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment and to quickly identify problems and recommend solutions
• Sound decision-making skills and the ability to plan and prioritize
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• The capability to work well as part of a team and to build and maintain effective working relationships with a range of people
• Strong commercial acumen and the ability to understand what will appeal to customers
• Genuine passion and interest in fashion
