Accountant

As an Accountant, you will join the Finance team reporting directly to the Finance Manager. Your primary responsibilities include ensuring an accurate and timely month-end and year-end close as well as direct responsibility for maintaining, developing and documenting appropriate internal controls throughout the Company. You will need an organised mindset and approach each task with an analytical mindset.  

Your day-to-day responibilities: 

• Perform monthly and annual accounting activities 
• Manage the general ledger and ensure that all entries are accurate 
• Perform month end and year end accounts closure processes 
• Prepare tax calculations, tax payments, corporate income Tax & vat tax returns 
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports 
• Implement and follow myDATA requirements 
• Ensure the implementation of deadlines and internal accounting procedures 
• Continuously evaluate and improve internal accounting controls and processes 
• Support the Finance Manager with any other duties as assigned 

Skills we can't do without: 

• BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant field. MSc or/and Professional qualification will be considered an asset 
• 3+ years of working experience in a similar role with knowledge of Greek GAAP, tax laws, regulations and compliance requirements 
• Proficiency in MS Excel 
• ERP Entersoft familiarization is desirable 
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels 
• Excellent organizational skills and great attention to detail 
• Time management & prioritization
