DPA & HSQE Manager

Seamar Management SA is currently looking for a resilient and highly skilled DPA & HSQE Manager to join our team and ensure the safety, security and environmental compliance of our maritime operations.

Responsibilities:

• De velop and maintain up-to-date functional stand-alone or Integrated Management Systems (IMS) meeting the requirements of industry standards.

• Ini tiate, plan and implement strategies for effective and efficient Health, Safety Security, Environment & Quality (HSSEQ) management.
• Perform internal ISM/ISPS audits and report findings according to Company’s Safety Management System.
• Perform training on board vessels, related to audit findings, HSSEQ campaigns, results of PSC inspections, results of flag inspections, ensuring that the appropriate procedures are followed and the corrective actions are taken.
• Maintenance of Health, Safety, Security, Environmental and statistics and Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
• Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, incident investigations and develop and maintain emergency response plans.
• Carry out internal, navigational, cargo and mooring audits ensuring proper close out of the observations and defects identified on board.
• Keep up-to-date with relevant legislation and standards related to the Maritime Industry.

Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate should preferably have minimum 2 years of seagoing experience as a senior officer and at least 3 years of office experience in similar role.
• Leadership and management skills with a proven track record of managing and developing teams driven by KPIs.
• Working knowledge of Auditing, Behavioral Safety Systems, Risk Analysis, Emergency Response, Incident Command, Incident Investigation, Injury Case Management, Safe Working Practices, international maritime regulations, flag state, and classification society regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to conduct risk assessments, root cause analyses, and performance evaluations.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
