ERMA FIRST BWTS FIT is an advanced modular developed to exceed all special installation requirements. Covering an extensive capacity range of 50-3740 m3/hr, the system is suitable for newbuilds as well as for retrofits of all types and sizes of vessels. The major components of the system are an automatic back-flushing filter and an electrolytic cell of outstanding performance under the most demanding conditions. Using an active substance produced by the method of electrolysis, the re-growth of microorganisms is eliminated.

Senior Electrical Engineer

RWO GmbH, part of the ERMA FIRST group is recruiting for a Senior Electrical Engineer, to join our Technical Department based in Piraeus. As a member of our Technical Department, you will primarily work and apply electrical engineering expertise on Product Development projects for new and existing products of the company including Bilge Water Management Systems, Sewage Treatment Plants and Fresh Water Treatment Systems for the maritime industry. In this role you will be leading the Electrical & Automation Engineering section, reporting to the Technical Director, and you will work closely with other sections of the department and with other departments to ensure the proper execution of tasks.

Main responsibilities

So, what will you be doing?

  • Take ownership and deliver product development projects for the improvement of existing products and the development of new products and services in collaboration with product managers.
  • Prepare engineering deliverables such as single-line and multi-line diagrams, calculations, reports, specifications and studies.
  • Perform factory acceptance tests for electrical panels.
  • Stay updated with applicable international regulations and make sure that they are properly applied to our products.
  • Perform routine research and make proposals for new development projects.
  • Collaborate with external partners including subcontractors, suppliers, clients, regulatory bodies to ensure proper execution of work and provide technical support.
  • Manage members of the team.

Knowledge and experience required

What will you bring?

  • B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role in product development, machinery manufacturing or equivalent.
  • Solid understanding of automation principles related to PLC controls and SCADA.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Problem solving, self-motivated and results oriented with a strong can-do mentality.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to travel to HQ in Bremen, Germany up to 20%.

Good to have skills

We would highly appreciate if you also have:

  • Experience in AutoCAD and ePLAN.
  • Experience in the maritime industry
  • German language skills
