EPE is seeking to hire a motivated Design Engineer in R&D Department with the following main responsibilities and job requirements:
Role Description
Position Overview: We're seeking a talented Design Engineer to join our dynamic R&D department. In this role, you'll be instrumental in the conceptualization, design, and development of innovative maritime equipment that pushes the boundaries of technology and performance. From ideation to execution, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to conceptualize, design, and develop new maritime equipment that meets customer requirements and industry standards.
- Utilize CAD software and other design tools to create detailed 3D models, drawings, and prototypes.
- Conduct feasibility studies and design analysis to evaluate the performance, reliability, and manufacturability of proposed designs.
- Lead design reviews and provide technical guidance to ensure designs meet functional, performance, and safety requirements.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and continuous improvement in product design.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
- Ease of use in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and other design tools.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proven experience in product design and development, preferably within the maritime or heavy equipment industry.
