Mechanical Engineer CNC Machinist-Operator

DETURBO company was established in 2017 in Hamburg, Germany and since 2019 has extended its presence in Piraeus, Greece. Our Company offers overhauling and repair services for all Diesel Engines & Turbocharger types, spare parts supply for related equipment and complete Reconditioning of Engine and Turbocharger components. Our business has also recently expanded its capacity in the CNC Machining production sector with dedicated equipment.

DETURBO is looking for a capable Mechanical Engineer to join our team and contribute to our machining workshop.

Job Tasks:

  • Develop machining processes and programs for the manufacturing of parts according to drawings’ specifications.
  • Read and understands the engineering drawings.
  • Create and modify CNC part programs using CAD-CAM systems.
  • Select the right tools and optimal cutting parameters for all processes.
  • Adhere to regulations regarding the safety at work.
  • Use all the appropriate personal protection equipment provided by the company and complies with all health and safety regulations.
  • Manufacturing of components in direct collaboration with the foreman/supervisor.
  • Develop of machine shop processes to save time and reduce the cost of final product.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting issues during the manufacturing process.
  • Take measurements and be able to use a variety of measuring equipment.
  • Reports to and informs the supervisor.
  • Maintain the machines and the workshop facilities in good condition.
  • Good knowledge of the materials and their properties.
  • Communicate and serve teamwork effectively to boost smooth operation inside the workshop.
  • Being active with comments and suggestions on improving and increasing the performance of his department.
  • Promote dialogue, communication, and professional engagement
  • Adheres to company's work ethic and all internal departmental procedures, whether oral or written.
  • Being flexible to perform other tasks that may arise to assist in general company tasks.

Requirements:

  • University degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in CNC industry.
  • Good Knowledge of Computer Numerical Control Machine techniques.
  • Good knowledge of engineering drawings.
  • Good knowledge of CAD/CAM and FEA software.
  • Good knowledge of measuring equipment.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office functions.
  • Excellent command of English language, oral and written.

Preferred Qualifications and experience:

  • Master’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering will be considered an asset
  • Be comfortable in the role, have a good understanding of technical drawings and specifications which followed for the production process.
  • Good understanding of the materials and cutting tools.
  • Having a good experience with reverse engineering processes and quality control techniques will be perceived as an advantage.
  • Ability to work under pressure and be flexible as a member of a team.
  • Bringing a positive, can-do attitude to the workplace.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
