Junior Accountant

Aegean Oil is looking for a motivated and knowledgeable Junior Accountant.

Our Accounting team is growing and we are looking for a motivated Junior Accountant to join forces and help us deliver our goals. You will be responsible for supporting the Accounting team in the completeness of daily tasks and ensure accuracy by providing solutions.

The ideal candidate should cover the following requirements:

Qualifications:

• BA in Accounting or similar field - MSc in Accounting/Finance will be considered an asset
• 1–2 years of accounting experience
• Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Computer literacy with Advanced MS Excel skills
• Communication and organizational skills
• Team spirit and high sense of responsibility

Responsibilities:

• Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
• Prepare account reconciliations (bank’s balances & cash, expenses, payables)
• Reconcile customer and supplier balances
• Support month-end and year –end close process
• Manage ad hoc financial requests across all departments
• Support the Senior Accountant in day-to-day accounting tasks
